Instagram Challenge - March Colour Inspiration

In case you need some final inspiration to snap some images for the March Instagram Challenge, here are some amazing {pink} snaps from some of my favourite Instagrammers:
@teklan @ohsoprettyblog @helloemilie @mermaidens @ahoymiss @jennyeveryday Image Map
1 | Teklan - This girl. Her feed is a beautiful rainbow of perfect colour.
2 | Oh So Pretty Blog - You can count on Oh So Pretty for pale pastels anytime
3 | Hello Emilie - A beautiful collection of small details and carefully curated photographs
4 | Mermaidens - I can always count on Kailey for pretty, pink and pastel!
5 | Ahoy Miss - Having pink hair helps, but check out this feed for all kinds of pink inspiration
6 | Jenny Everyday - Behind the scenes of Everyday Is A Holiday, there is always pink

I'd love to see your shots before the end of March, it's so easy to join in. Just take a look around, on your way to work, or when you're going for a walk and pay attention to the small details that you might normally miss. You'd be surprised at the places you'll find unexpected colours! You can even build a little vignette or stage a scene with found objects as well (like my donut picture). There are no limits! Simply tag your images with #kittyandbuckcolor and they will be added to the feed. I'll feature my favourites at the end of each month, and each month will have a new colour to look out for.

Since I launched the Instagram Challenge, there's been a bunch of emails and comments from people saying they'd love to take part but cannot find the right 'thing' to photograph. Here's some inspiration from some of my favourite Instagram accounts. While not all of us can be amazing photographers or find beautiful landscapes to photograph every day, here's some everyday items and creative ways to shoot them :)

If you'd like to join in, simply shoot the colour theme of January, which is {white}. Tag your photo with #kittyandbuckcolor and you're done! I'll choose some favourites at the end of each month and share them here. I've noticed some private accounts have tagged their photos but I can't see them! If you'd like to share them with me and you're private, just leave me a comment with your account (here or in Instagram) and I'll follow you.

The main purpose of the challenge is to practice your photography, and hopefully see some things around you that you'd not normally notice. It's the beauty of looking for something specific in everyday surroundings and finding something special ❤

Instagram Inspirations

Today I'm going to share a post with you that I wrote as a guest post for Ciera Design. I'd like to make it a semi-regular feature, so I thought this is a good place to start. I've collected a group of my favourite instagrammers, whose images inspire me amidst the sea of pet photos (guilty as charged). I've been trying to be conscious of my Instagram output, and since I was generously offered a hand-me-down phone upgrade, I've got a better phone camera, so I'm all set! There's nothing wrong with sharing pictures of the fur-babies, but I'm so focused on improving my photography in general, I'd like to carry that over into instagram-land, even when I'm photographing the every day. As you can see below, there is beauty all around us!
